XS650 club charity ride day
I ask you all to attend a Charity ride day at Castlereagh
Race Track for The XS650 club. Prize for best XS650.
Charity is for an old racer that died of cancer so money raised half to his
family (McFarlane Trust) and other half to the Cancer Clinic.
This is being organised by XS650 club member Mark Peatman so your attendance
would be greatly appreciated.
Dates for the charity days are 28th and
29th of August.
On Saturday 28th there will be things happening at the Castlereagh track and
then the club ride is on Sunday 29th.
If club members can at my place, 49 Boscobel Rd Londonderry, on Sunday around 10.00 to 11.00am then we can all ride around to the Castlereagh Race Track together and be there about midday.
Once again it is for a good cause and would like as many
members possible to participate.
It should be a good day and hope the weather will be on our side.

and towards Barrington Tops, exact route is TBD depending on weather etc. 300km+
from Edgeworth. This is a VJMC ride for conditional registered machines.

August 2010 – Festival of the Parrallel Twin at Deus Ex Machina, 104
Parramatta Rd Camperdown. Sydney. This is a VJMC Sydney ride for conditionally
registered machines wishing to attend. Meet at Deus café from 8.30am onwards
(contact Keith Lamotte for details – see below).
- Door prizes of dinner for 2 at the award winning Deus Cafe.
- Biker side show alley. Tyre coits, Piston throw, etc.
- Show and shine with the famous trophies by Brad 'Magic Fingers' Black and
prizes so numerous we dare not fill this post with their total amazingness.

(most likely not so in the real universe, the jury is still out)

It’s that time of year again
folks which means the Ton Up Boys Motorcycle Club’s annual Ride with the
Rockers Day is coming around fast. Established in the early ‘90s, the club for
classic bike enthusiasts, will be holding its 14th annual rally in early
September. It’s being held on the same day and in conjunction with London’s
Ace Cafe ride and this year the plan is to mix things up a bit. So along with
the customary ride, there will also be a Show and Shine (for classic bikes and
scooters) and an afternoon gig to round out the celebrations.
The day begins at Café Love #3 in Barr Street, Annandale, then it’s a case of
kick-starting the engines, twisting the throttles and cruising down the south
coast. Stopping for coffee and a casual tete-a-tete at The Headlands Hotel,
Austinmer we’ll then be heading back to Sydney town, or to be more exact, the
Newtown Jets Club at Tempe. This is where the mods and rockers will finally get
the chance to fight it out in two exciting arenas - the car park for the Show
and Shine and the dance floor for the shaking and shimmying.
At 2pm, ‘60s popsters, DTS will take the stage for a one-hour set of cool
covers and cracking originals. And not to be outdone, Wes and The Sonic Aces
will then get the house a jumpin’ and jivin’ with their special brand of
rockabilly ravers. In between sets, Little Bop and The Crimplenes will continue
the battle of the decades by spinning the very best in 50s and 60s tuneage.
The Newtown Jets Club has cheap drinks and a tasty bistro so there’s no excuse
not to head down for a Sunday afternoon shake-down. It’s only $5 at the door
and kids are welcome.

September 18th - I have attached a flyer for our upcoming show & shine in September I would be more than happy to have your club there some of your members have attended on past events, You are more than welcome to come along and set up a stand representing your Club and promote it. It is a charity event in which we raise money for UCARF (Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund) last year we raised $2,000.00. We hope this year we hope to raise more

XS650 Club Ride to the Historic Road Race Meeting at Phillip Island
September 4th and 5th are the dates for the
official ride day to the Island.
Members wishing to stay overnight at Phil Mesters are welcome. A small fee for
dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning will be charged. BYO
drinks, and bed roll.
We will be leaving from the corner of Bayswater Rd and Eastfield Rd Croydon at
9.00am. on Saturday September 4th. and returning on Sunday September 5th after
the races.
